To promote the film "Suffragette" of the Diversity Film Series, we designed a film poster combining the corporate design of the University of Applied Sciences in Constance and our own illustration. The detailed illustration was drawn in ink in the original size of 50cm x 70cm and then digitized to create a laser template.
Ink & Laser Engraving
After digitizing the illustration, a laser template could be created, which was to be engraved into a heavy cardboard. By using gray cardboard, a light beige became visible in the engraved areas, which provides the contrast between the illustration and the background. The feel also plays an important role, as engraved areas are noticeably different in height from those left as they are. The remaining information was then added to all the posters using screen printing.
